Located just 10 minutes from Portland's CBD, in the quiet serenity of Allestree, this neat tidy 3-bedroom cottage is perfect for fishing weekends, or family holidays. The property accommodates up to 6 people over 3 bedrooms with a queen bed in 2 bedrooms and a bunk in the third bedroom.

A delightful sunroom with day bed to sit and relax and enjoy the view of the farm paddocks and beyond!

A fully equipped, light filled kitchen with gas cooking and large dining table suitable to seat the whole family.  A separate lounge area that features TV, and your choice of cosy wood heating or gas heating.

One sparkling bathroom with separate bath and full laundry facilities including washing machine and dryer completes this property as a home away from home.

The property is surrounded by farm fencing, to ensure uninterrupted views of the surrounding farms land.

What do I need to do to confirm my booking?

We require a copy of driver's licenses of all adult guests and booking deposit. Only once all of this has been received, will booking be confirmed.

Do I need to pay a bond? Yes, a security deposit (bond) will be required on booking of $500. Keys will not be issued unless credit card details have been provided as a surety procedure. Management reserves the right to increase the bond to $1000 in some instances.

What happens to my booking payments in the event the government directs a lockdown on my dates of travel?

In the event government directs a lockdown for your dates of travel we would discuss either a full refund minus the booking fee or the option of changing your booking dates. Changing of booking dates may incur an additional fee.

What happens if I decide to cancel my booking as I am worried about recent outbreaks of COVID19?

Normal terms and conditions would apply if you decided to cancel the booking.

What happens if the property owner cancels my booking?

Cancellations can occur by owners of properties, and we understand that this can be unsettling, please just be aware properties are individually owned and they may be cancelled due to repairs, modifications or protect the wellbeing of the community.

    Miffy's Cottage was comfortable and just what we needed for a quiet long weekend away with our Kelpie. Property is pet friendly however both front and back yards were not secure enough for us to take our dog outside without being on a lead. He did enjoy watching the sheep and cows in the adjoining paddock from the sunroom though. Was a little disappointed that the beach is not really accessible directly from the street at the front of the property unless you scramble over the rock wall which we did not do. In any event we enjoyed our stay and the cottage was homely and had everything that we needed. Something I will note is that there was a good range a saucepans which you don't often find in other rental accommodation but only one of these saucepans had a lid so that was a bit strange. Overall it is a comfortable property and we would stay there again.
