FAQs:

What do I need to do to confirm my booking?

To confirm the booking, we kindly request that all adult guests provide a copy of their driver's licenses and submit a booking deposit. Once we receive all the required documents and deposit, the booking will be confirmed.

Do I need to pay a bond? Yes, a security deposit (bond) will be required on booking of $500. Keys will not be issued unless credit card details have been provided as a surety procedure. Management reserves the right to increase the bond to $1000 in some instances.

If the government orders a lock down during my scheduled travel dates, what will happen to the payments I made for my booking?

If the government imposes a lock down during your scheduled travel dates, we will provide two options: a full refund (excluding the booking fee) or the opportunity to reschedule your booking. Please note that rescheduling may come with an additional fee. We will discuss these options with you should the need arise.

If I choose to cancel my booking due to concerns about recent COVID-19 outbreaks, what would be the outcome?

If you choose to cancel your booking, the standard terms and conditions will be applicable. You can access our terms and conditions by visiting www.portlandseaview.com.au and selecting the 'Rent' tab.

What will occur if the owner decides to cancel my reservation?

We understand that owner cancellations can be unsettling, but please be aware that properties are individually owned and may need to be cancelled due to repairs, modifications, or to protect the well-being of the community.

In the event that we cancel the booking, you will receive a full refund excluding the booking fee.

    Growing up at Bridgewater in the 70's was great and this was the first time I'd been back in >20yrs. The house was a great location; albeit a little hard to find (house number is inside the house). Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen and lounge very good; with the balcony view being excellent. We had trouble with the BBQ and the owner/agent sorted it quickly, but do check early if you need it. A/c unit is downstairs and with remote missing needs to be controlled from the inner panel, but works well. Lastly, the very friendly neighbors dog is very fond of fancy pastries left on the seat of the car with the door open...he would have had a tummy ache.

    The property is lovely - the views are just beautiful and the place is beautifully decorated. The absence of a washing machine was a bit of pain for our family. It wasn't disclosed in the advert and is not something that you would think to look for in a large property. The closest laundromat is 15 minutes away.

    We had a lovely stay at this property which has an incredible location and even more magnificent views. Just a quick stroll down some adjacent steps to this beautiful beach. The property is decorated with taste although it should be noted the bathroom is in original condition with a slightly updated kitchen. Unusually the laundry is locked to guests which we found rather frustrating during a one week stay. Some maintenance work is required on the property. Note there is no air-conditioning in the main living areas upstairs. The only air-conditioning is in the TV area downstairs which for the most part we rarely used. To manage expectations this is essentially a sweetly decorated weatherboard shack with some recent updates. Also NO Wifi. Initial communication with the agent was patchy. Notwithstanding all of the above the location and the general decoration of the property is enough for us to return at some point.

    Could not fault the location or the view. Light, warm, relaxing decor with comfortable beds, plus a great cafe on foreshore, just a short walk from the house.
    The small bathroom and lack of a dishwasher are the only flaws in what is otherwise terrific seaside holiday accommodation.
    We would recommend to others.

    We came in winter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There has been a lot of thought gone into the stylish interior decorations and lovely linen.
    The views speak for themselves. A fireplace would have been sublime but regardless the heating was perfectly adequate. Highly recommend this property.
